I finished my master’s in “Advanced Medical Imaging" at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and completed his doctoral work at Sensory Motor Research lab at Klinikum Großhadern, LMU München. My doctoral research focused on studying visual-vestibular interaction and visual & auditory substitution mechanisms in patients with unilateral and bilateral vestibular failure using multimodal imaging methods (DTI, fcMRI, PET). Part of my doctoral work was focused on the development of functional and structural MRI connectomics, and a segmentation pipeline in collaboration with Biomax AG.
As a postdoc in the Neurostimulation Group of Prof. Dr. Til Ole Bergmann, I will be working on combined TUS-MRI for blood brain barrier opening in humans. A major part of my research is focused on the development of a setup for safe and effective MR -guided TUS stimulation for BBBO in humans. My project work also involves the optimization of MR-bone imaging sequences for acoustic stimulations.
