I am a PhD candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience with a strong research focus on non-invasive brain stimulation and its translational applications in cognition. During my doctoral work, I investigated non-invasive electrical stimulation of the olfactory pathway, examining its effects on functional brain connectivity and cognitive functions. This research is part of my broader goal to contribute to innovative therapeutic approaches for memory impairments, including those associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
As a research intern in Prof. Dr. Til Ole Bergmann’s Neurostimulation Group, I am currently working on the TUS–TMS project, which integrates transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to explore their combined effects on the human motor cortex. By combining advanced stimulation protocols with neuroimaging and electrophysiological methods, I aim to deepen our understanding of brain dynamics and contribute to the development of novel, effective, and non-invasive interventions for neurological and cognitive disorders.
I have an academic background spanning computer science, cognitive psychology, and cognitive neuroscience, which has shaped my interdisciplinary perspective on brain research and motivates me to bridge basic science with clinical applications.
