I am a medical student and currently in the clinical phase of my studies. I have been fascinated by neuroscience and neurological disorders in particular since an early age. This interest led to my decision to complete my doctoral thesis at the NeuroImaging Center (NIC) in Mainz under the guidance of Prof. Til Ole Bergmann. We are researching the influence of TUS on sleep spindles and, subsequently, on memory consolidation. This project has great potential for new therapeutic approaches to neurological disorders. With our basic research, we want to lay the groundwork for further TUS studies and clinical applications.
