I am an EMJM Master’s student in Brain and Data Science with a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics. My research interests lie in brain signal analysis and neuromodulation, particularly in applications for neural rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention.

I am conducting my Master’s thesis at the TOBergmann Lab, where I am involved in the TUNeS (Thalamic Ultrasound Neuromodulation during Sleep) project. The goal of the TUNeS project is to investigate whether transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) targeting the thalamus during Non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM) sleep can modulate or induce sleep spindles, and to provide compelling evidence that sleep spindles play a crucial role in memory consolidation.

Within this project, my work focuses on developing a predictive tool that estimates whether delivering TUS to specific thalamic subregions will induce sleep spindles, using participants’ MRI data, ultrasound stimulation parameters, and acoustic simulations within established safety limits.
