I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Through both my academic studies and my work as a student assistant at the sleep laboratory of the Marienhaus Klinikum Mainz, I have developed a strong interest in pneumology, clinical EEG applications, and neurology.

Since January 2025, I have been a member of the research group led by Prof. Dr. Til Ole Bergmann, where I am pursuing my doctoral thesis. My research focuses on the use of TMS to investigate the role of sleep spindles in memory consolidation.

I find the clinical application of TMS particularly compelling, as it holds significant therapeutic potential that remains largely untapped. A deeper understanding of sleep mechanisms — especially the role of sleep spindles — may provide key insights into optimizing the use of TMS for sleep modulation.

I am excited to contribute to this innovative field as part of an inspiring research team.
