I am an MD student under the supervision of Bartol Bartulovic and Hassan Vijayakumar at the Neuroimaging Center (NIC). My research focuses on non-invasive brain stimulation. In my doctoral project, I investigate the combined application of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) to achieve targeted modulation of the primary motor cortex in healthy participants.
I am currently a sixth-semester medical student at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. My scientific interests is primarily in neuroscience. The human brain remains one of the least fully understood systems in medicine, and I am fascinated by how many fundamental questions are still unanswered. Emerging neuromodulation techniques such as TMS and TUS offer exciting opportunities to better understand brain function and may ultimately contribute to the development of new therapeutic approaches and potential treatments.
